Easter-Today

Oh boy, here we go.

Easter morning we got up and every year we always have to look for our baskets before we can pick up eggs. This year we were pleasantly surprised when Mom and Dad said that we were going to go on a scavenger hunt for our baskets. So we got a clue saying something like " To find Seilas basket go to where she keeps her nails colored. " so we all headed to the bathroom. There in the nail polish bucket we found the next clue. It said something like " to find Kai's basket go where hes working on the yard. " so there we went to the front yard and found the next clue. It said something like " To find Hadley's basket you'll have to help her finish the basket shes been making. " So off we went to the sewing room the find another clue, there the clue said " To find Kales clue go to his sweet new ride" (The morning before dad had fixed his bike) so off we went to the bike. There we found yet another clue! The clue said " To find our visitors clue go to the baby toys". At that point I hadn't yet put together all the clues, so i thought that we were getting a foriegn exchange student again. So we went to the baby toys, but then I started thinking and figured out that we were going to have another sybling. I started crying and when the basket came down and there was a clue in there. It said something like " Our visitor isn't going to be a visitor but a new baby brother or baby sister! Due to arrive the second week of November! " By then I was baulling my eyes out and mom started crying then kale and kai. So there was our Easter for ya.
After Easter came Youth Conference May 6-7. One of the best Youth Conferences, the theme for the two days was missionary work, so we were all assigned to different places in the world. Kai was assigned to the Sapporo, Japan mission, I was assigned to the Moscow, Russia mission. Which is kind of funny cause i really dont do well when im cold. haha. Friday night we got there and recived our stick on badges and had a dinner of nachos or potatoes. Next we had two speakers, Elder Daniel Walker (going on a mission) and Sister Katelyn Christensen. (just came back from her mission) The two speakers did great and next came the dance. The dance was pretty good. Marnie Bergeson came with us and I must say that she is one of the best adult dancers there. haha Saturday I wasn't able to attend the morning part to go to a game instead. We lost against Connell, surprise surprise. I got back to Youth Conference around 4:30 and we came in the middle of Brother Scott Anderson's talk. He did an awesome job! I felt the spirit really strong but still laughed really hard at all of his stories. :) Next came testimony meeting. I always love testimony meeting. People I know always make me cry. I sat there thinking, your going to regret not getting up there! and i did. ha. ill get up next time. :) Then we had dinner and entertainment to go along with it. Dinner was hawiian haystack, sooo goood!!! i love hawaiin haystacks. :) The entertainment was really good too, each wardwas asked to come up with something and lots really really funny or really cute. After dinner was the dance. Pretty good dance too.
After Youth Conference came Mothers Day, at 1:30 am Jen Jenks went to the hospital to have her baby so the kids came to our house in the morning. :) i love those kids. always sooo cute. after church we headed staight to Moses to eat at our couins house and wait to hear the news of the new baby girl, Elizabeth.
May 11-14 we were shrimping, in the San Juan Islands. We had a geat year once again. Not as many people were able to come but we still hd a great time.
Sunday May 15 after church we went to our cousins house to celebrate some birthdays and ate cake and ice cream. :) Overall a very busy past month. And still lots mor to come. Theres about 18 days left of school. Sooo excited for this summer to come! :) Very happy this scool year is almost over. :D

Varsity Softball 2011

This year I have the privelege of being a swinger for varsity softball. We played tuesday march 19, and lost to cashmere by 1 run. We played really well though so it wasn't a huge disapointment. Today we played a double header against la salle, who we thought was going to really good but turned out to remind me of the middle school games. They were ok. the first game we won 18 to 1 and the second game we won i think 19 to 3. So overall a great win for royal. I got to pitch the second game in the last two innings. I tend to shut out everyone when im in playing. which probably isnt very good because when someone calls me off for a ball i dont here them and run into them. which happened to me today. it was kind of funny. I do pick out voices so i mostly just here words of encouragement. which is good for me because i do better when people are cheering. its weird, cause i think that i need total silence and when its really loud i tend to do better. lol

Well we've had snow for maybe about a month now and lots is going on. We've had to go to Kais games, ive done stats at games for the basketball girls. :) lots of fun to watch and still somehow be involved in basketball.
Had the cousins come over last night they stayed until 2:30 when our parents came back from helping Ashley and Mark put tile down in their house. lots of fun for the kids. I went to bed at like 10:00 after puting the 3 youngest to bed and the others were either on the computer or playing basketball on the gamecube. I went and read.

SNOW!!and school

So it snowed this weekend and started snowing this afternoon. So they released school early. So I got home at 2:30 or so instead of 3:15. Im going to go to the weight room at 4 to work out. Its coming down hard but its not big snowflakes or anything. With wind chill and everything its suppose to be -12 degrees tomorrow. we did the math at school today in english. funny because it was english and we were doing math. but it was to warm up our minds or somthing like that. This week we are going to read The Necklace in English as well as next week because its a short week. anyway, the story is about a lady who borrows a necklace from a friend to impress people at a party shes going to and ends up losing it. I only know this because ive already read it from last year. So my teacher, Mr. Melum(aka Mr. Melon), gave us this paper and told us that we were to write down 5 things that had value to us from most to least. So i was hesitant but wrote down 1. Blessing Dress 2. Journal 3. Scriptures (at this time i coudn't really think of anything else because all the rest i could live without but would still like to have.) 4. Homemade dresses 5. Makeup (to be funny). When Mr. Melum started asking people what they put as number one i noticed that most were things that didn't really in the long run matter. Things like X-box 360s, weight sets, and straightners. I started comparing these things and became very sad for those people who didn't really have anything to value or didn't reconize it. Then there were those that had things that were of sentimental(sp) value to them such as a necklace that contained ashes of a loved one, or pets that were priceless. At the end of all this he said, but there was one person who had something else......(writing on the board next to others) Faith. I never really thought of those things as representing my faith but i guess so because they do have to do with my faith. So it was a good lesson for me. Even though i don't like mr. melum sometimes he does ok in teaching life lessons. Since my last snow update its really coming down now. bigger snowflakes. flurrish.

So as of Monday I have a Facebook so if you want to be my friend leave a comment or look for me on facebook. Its so much fun.
School is going well and all of this week was half-days for conferences. Mom didn't make an appointment and didn't go in during the optional conference time. So she didn't go talk to my teachers but she talked to the rest of the kid's teachers. I didn't really care because I do have all A's and I don't know what she would say to them.
Evening of Excellence is next week and the theme is There's No Place Like Home -Wizard Of OZ-,
we made sparkly shoes and they are so cute!
Today there is no school in honor of Veterans Day. So happy Veterans Day!!
